Excellent day to float around your house in a creative dream world, do Magick, draw, paint, write and ESPECIALLY make MUSIC!

Neptune, planet of fantasy, dreams, spirituality, clairvoyance, movies, divine power, spiritual strength, and the occult is standing still over our heads this weekend. It has been moving backward for the last several months and will turn forward, or Direct this evening at 8:38pm. When a planet is standing still or “stationing” overhead, it’s energy is more concentrated than usual, and greatly impacts our personal lives and society at large.

The influence this weekend is powerful because of this stationing – AND the fact that it’s happening IN Pisces – Neptune’s natural home. It’s cold and raining where I am; the two qualities of elemental WATER, which inspire us towards imagination, music and creativity. We want to stay in and watch movies or daydream – both very Neptunian activities. Pay attention to any intuitive insights or flashes of inspiration you receive, because the air is crackling with divine communication. The only thing to watch out for is escapism – don’t overdo drugs or alcohol right now because it will backfire on your efforts. Tap into the deep, spiritual eddies flowing around you, and embrace the current of Love. Write out your dreams because they contain powerful keys of inspiration and self knowledge.

You need to master Saturn before you can ‘do’ Neptune satisfactorily.  Neptune always makes me think of the kind of beach that has a steep drop all of a sudden and you can go from bopping about in the shallows, shore in sight, to swimming with slippery, deceptive and potentially dangerous sea monsters.

Neptune can break your heart. Via drugs, alcohol, madly escapist tendencies or those strange, addictive romances some people get hooked up in where the feelings evoked are nothing short of religious…but it’s basically hopeless.

Sometimes i get people emailing me who are clearly in the grip of Neptune – not drunk (?) but wanting my idea on when someone they last saw eight years ago but still hold our hope for might return. Or the classic someone-married scenario. I always want to tip an urn of Saturn-chilled ice water over them but nothing works when Neptune has gotten a grip.

You can have Neptune strong in your chart – in which case you need to get some good Saturn habits strong to augment the good qualities of Neptune – or you can have a powerful Neptune transit going on that renders you temporarily Neptunian. When you’re Neptunian, you get easy access to other realms – ghosts, visions, angels, spirit guides….dark matter maybe. You will have a Muse. You will be exquisitely sensitive….like a Medium. Every night your R.E.M. mind is a like a blockbuster epic movie.

So how Neptunian are you?  Do you have the “easy” or “challenging” aspects of Neptune to other planets in your chart. Never mind the sextile to Pluto. We’ve basically all got that one. Think more of what Neptune is doing to Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars and Ascendant.

Or are you having a Neptune transit?  For the next two years, Neptune hangs out in the late degrees of Aqua/early Pisces…So that’s your key Neptune zone. Also, if you’ve got anything in a late Fixed sign (Leo, Taurus, Scorpio) or early (up to three degrees) of a Mutable (Virgo, Saggo, Gemini) consider that Neptune haunted as well.

Also, how many of you got nearly drowned by a Lower Neptunian? Or had Neptune break their heart? I think it happens to lots of peeps when they’re young.”

Saturn square Neptune

We’ve just had an astrological foreshadowing of 2016. The first square between Saturn in Sagittarius and Neptune in Pisces occurred on Thursday, underlined by Mercury’s conjunction with Saturn.

What does this mean? Our dreams receive a giant-reality-check-makeover.

All of this was further highlighted by Wednesday’s full Moon in Gemini.

Geminis, Virgos and Sagittarians REALLY felt the pressure to find clarity and the path forward. This is just the beginning! If we’re able to integrate this aspect we can find huge rewards down the road.

Saturn is the reality check. It is structure, discipline, maturity, time and timing. We reap what we have sown. Neptune is the planet of Magick and Belief. It’s the most spiritual and visionary of planets. It can awaken our consciousness or plunge us into escapist fantasies. The choice is ours.

When Saturn travels through Sagittarius, it brings a serious tone to our faith and inner truth. We need to follow a structure in order to experience freedom, walk our talk and apply ourselves with disciplined practice. Sagittarians around the world are becoming responsible in a new way.

Neptune is the visionary, and it’s natural home is Pisces. This dissolves our boundaries bringing vision, creativity, spirituality and music. There is no more separateness… we are all ONE. To quote Empowering Astrology: “Neptune does not entirely belong to our solar system. The view of life it teaches us originally belongs to other parts of the Milky Way.”

Neptune also brings the desire to escape reality.. leading us to drugs and distraction to escape the brutal realities of the world.

What happens when these two planets meet in a square? It’s an opportunity to structure our dreams – to make them real! This often happens through hard work which can be difficult for mystical types. As I said above the rewards are huge.

The other side is that illusions are shredded. People fall off their pedestals because their flaws become obvious. Are you playing out old, outworn patterns? Still going after the same people or situations that end up disappointing you? Time to snap out of it! If you’re lost in a fantasy or lying to yourself, the bubble will be burst in the upcoming months..

We’re in an interesting week astrologically. We’ll have a Gemini Full Moon tomorrow at 3 degrees and this one will oppose Saturn and square Neptune. We have some major things to figure out and commit to — things that must be in alignment with our hearts, our souls, and our higher good.

As I'm sitting here watching the Warriors do battle with the Cavaliers, I'm struck by the accurate and lightning fast moves of Stephen Curry! His body to mind connection is top flight. You can see him sizing up a situation in a split second and taking sudden action. So I'm curious, what does his chart look like?

New Moon in Aquarius/Pisces

New Moon today at 3:47pm at 29 degrees Aquarius - with the Moon shifting into Pisces at the same moment. The Sun moves into Pisces three minutes later!

This New Moon is literally on the cusp between signs, bringing revolutionary, deep insights into our lives. Aquarius brings sudden, clear vision and science, while Pisces connects us with the Source of All.

All New Moons represent rebirth, but this one in particular is a complete revamping of our lives. Very important to let go of the past and embrace the direction your life is taking. Go with the Flow. Seriously. If you hang on to outgrown attitudes, March will be a rough month.

Adding to this feeling of freshness is Mars entering Aries overnight. Mars (energy, courage, strength, assertiveness) is completely at home in the sign of Aries (beginnings, new cycle, spontaneity, self esteem). The fiery planet will be traversing Aries through March and into April, which is a good thing.

This spring sees the final square between Uranus and Pluto - which will complete the two year transformation we've all been experiencing. Change is in the air and it's best to remain flexible over the next few months.

Chiron goes Direct at 13°Pisces

Interesting article on the planet Chiron! One of my favorites! He is the "wounded healer", the great sage that trained all the Greek heroes. He represents our deepest wound which we need to heal. A friend shows up around the age of 50 when Chiron returns to it's place in our birth chart, to help guide us through this healing. It's also a time when we can "revisit" the issues that came up in our 20's with all the wisdom and experience we now have.

Black of the Moon

For the next few days the Moon will be at it's darkest point before the New Moon in Aries on Sunday. It's astrological New Year!! Aries is this first sign of the zodiac, so we're starting a new year long cycle. We are in the darkness before the dawn, the time when we feel soul urges. This is further enhanced by the Moon, Mercury, Neptune and Chiron in Pisces, Saturn in Scorpio and Jupiter in Cancer.

This group of planets make a huge positive signature in the sky so make the most of it! It's a time
of endings and beginnings, and to get real about who and what you want to focus your energy on. Today and tomorrow are extremely intuitive and our instincts are sending us very clear messages - be sure and follow them.

Week of March 8th, 2010: Dark of the Moon

Well this week is your last shot at releasing stuff you've outgrown from 2009.
This week is the Dark of the Moon with a Pisces Sun.
Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac and represents culmination, completion, sacrifice, music and art. It's the sign of the humanitarian, the fishes, and is often chosen to represent Christ at the crucifixion.

But we ain't gonna be that heavy:)

Just tie up loose ends this week and let go of everything you don't want to carry forward with you in 2010!
Next week = New Moon in Aries and the coming of Spring.
