Uranus on North Node automatically places you as a rule-breaker and creator of fresh worlds. He was gender-bending in the public eye way before more people cracked onto it. * Mars conjunct his Capricorn Sun in the 12th House. Let NOBODY crap onto you about how the 12th House (which i call the Soul Sector in my Horoscopes) is the “house of self-undoing.”  No way. In Bowie’s case, it’s like a secret super-power. He gets to waft about being Uranian whilst being fuelled by clandestine bouts of hard work and extreme focus that feel like a spiritual discipline to him. Mars in Capricorn is already exalted – it’s the fiercest Mars of all and the work ethic is something to behold. Hooked up with a 12th House Sun = spiritual transcendence and you can make it into your business.

* Venus on his Midheaven in Saggo. Seriously, the dude is gifted. You have to wonder who he fuqed in a past life lol. Venus-Midheaven = the enduring love of the masses/your people. It’s very hard to screw up here. Where-as other peeps have one little sex scandal and voomp; they’re finished- Venus-Midheaven can do no wrong.

* A Grand Air Trine – Uranus in Gemini trine Neptune in Libra trine the Aqua Rising. So Mr Bowie is a bona fide Outer Planet Person, transmitting trends & tapping into the collective subconscious. He’s amorphically resonating in the shower each morning. Grand Air Trine people tend to contribute Big Ideas & new waves of thoughts to society. Winter Solstice

The wheel of the year has turned and we are officially in Winter and Capricorn season. The Capricorn goat knows how to survive harsh conditions and pick it’s way over an impassable landscape. It’s a season of miracles. The seed of the Sun has been planted in the time of greatest darkness, and will start to grow in daylight hours. Such a beautiful time of year. I love all the ancient traditions of light in the darkness. You can see it on our city streets today.

Capricorn represents ambition, self mastery and hard work. It’s ruled by the planet Saturn which teaches us responsibility and maturity – and that we will reap what we sow. I think these are great themes to keep in mind when setting intentions for the coming year. I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions, but I do believe in working hard towards what fulfills us and makes us happy.

We had a wonderful Grand Earth trine this week too! The Moon in Taurus (exalted!) enhanced by Jupiter in Virgo, and made real by Pluto (and Mercury) in Capricorn (evolution). This gives a grounded, positive boost to anything we begin this week!

Winter Solstice horoscopes

Season's Greetings everyone! Winter has officially arrived. Today we stand at the Winter Solstice and the New Moon in Capricorn. Venus leads Pluto, Mercury, the Sun, and the Moon through Capricorn today, shining a spotlight on stability, commitment, work and sure-footedness. Capricorn picks a path through impossible terrain to reach the greatest heights. The hardy goat also shows us how to survive the hardships of winter.

The picture of the mountain above reminds me so much of elemental earth - rich, fertile, green and abundant. Capricorn represents the mountain, and the attainment of the summit. What is your personal mountain you are conquering? What are you trying to manifest?

New Moon in Libra and Pluto Direct

Pluto is a Planet. It's not a 'dwarf planet" it's the real thing. I know this because it's been a staring me down the past couple of days. Pluto went Direct in Capricorn on Monday after months of retreading old territory. Pluto went Direct on Monday at 5:36pm Pacific.

Pluto = The Truth. Facing Reality. Illusions utterly destroyed, and submerged emotions and repressed feelings (sadness, resentment) bursting to the surface. It can feel like a volcanic eruption. Pluto rules the underworld - our psychological foundations. Anything we haven't wanted to deal with is now clearly visible. Any backroom dealings, covert actions or secretive alliances are exposed to the light of day. The playing field completely shifts. Pluto is INTENSE.

Pluto feels heavy. It's your soul coming up to speak with you. It's what you know in your heart to be true, and it can't be denied. Happy, deluded fantasies get the ax. It's good for us in the long run. Avoid resisting or manipulating people right now, it will backfire and drag your energy backwards. Focus on acceptance.

Uranus (Freedom) continues to square Pluto adding a dose of rebellion to the mix. Uranus will not allow us to stay stuck in old patterns, so the vibe is focused on Revolution.

Pluto brings up issues around other people's money (i.e. loans, banks), power struggles, triangles and control. But with the Sun's entrance into Libra, we add Pluto - relationship issues - death, birth, sex and divorce.

It's a New Moon in Libra today: Tuesday at 11:14pm.

Libra = Relationships, relationships, relationships.

Balance. The Scales. Justice!

Libra is the time of year when we weigh our relationships. With the Pluto influence, we are looking at how they effect our evolution. Any undercurrents in relationships now rise to the surface to be healed and dealt with. If a person or situation has been stuck, ambivalent, indecipherable or stalling, the Truth now shines forth. No need to jump into action, just observe your transition.

Eventually this eye opening energy leads to a huge rebirth. Pluto tears down and destroys to prepare for regeneration. The symbol of Pluto is the phoenix - the mythical bird that sets itself on fire to be reborn from the ashes. It's time to take that first step on a new road.

Where the Sun goes, so goes our personal and physical energy. So we've had quite a bit of focus on work, health, animals, and paperwork where we've been showing up and taking the lead while in Virgo. Now in Libra we begin to connect or focus on key people and balance, justice or equality. Libra rules the romantic partners, business partners, agents, attorneys, advocates, specialists, experts, clients, audience, competitors, and opponents, so we begin our 30 day chapter pulled towards what we need to do personally or physically with them. It may involve our name, title, identity, body, brand, or image, as well as our personal needs. In 2 days we will get a New Moon here so the cosmos is going to get behind it for us if we are proactive.

Tonight's Blood Moon Eclipse

Tonight at 11:30pm Pacific the skies will present a dramatic event - a Full Red Moon sailing overhead. It should be visible just about everywhere too. This is the first of four eclipses occurring over the next year - all in the signs of Libra and Aries. They are in accordance with the nodes of the Moon which are stimulating our relations with others and diminishing our need "to go it alone".

AND Mars will also be closest to the Earth tonight! In fact it should appear as a bright red star next to the Moon. This is the closest Mars has been to the Earth since January 2008 and will be at it's brightest. Personally, I'm a Scorpio and I dig the color red, so I'm looking forward to this tonight.

The Full Moon tonight occurs in the sign of Libra which symbolizes relationships and partnerships of all kinds - professional and personal. If there is some unresolved issue or tension that needs to be expressed, expect it to come up this week. It's a wonderful time to clear the air. But with Mars there, watch out for aggression and anger. The key to this Full Moon is DIPLOMACY and restoring BALANCE - key traits of the sign Libra. There's a feeling of fate and inspiration with relationships this month.

Unleash your assertive Martian drive on making your life better and helping others. Mars has strong convictions and wants things to happen NOW, while Libra inspires us to work together for the greater good of all.

And then there's the other thing - the Grand Cross on April 22 which really stirs the pot. The cross is formed by Pluto's opposition to Jupiter and Uranus's opposition to Mars. These are huge heavyweights in the sky which will ignite the events and timing in your life to enhance your evolution. You can come quietly or sit in resistance but change is happening either way. ...what a mess

It will be interesting how this effects each of us individually. Here's something I wrote about eclipses from 2011:

When the World falls under the influence of an eclipse, things are out of the ordinary. It's an uncommon time, and we have rare and insightful experiences. It's like walking around your darkened bedroom with a black light - things show up differently, and we see things in a way we don't normally see them. Some things are brighter and easier to see and some things fall into shadow.

Quite simply, I feel it is a time when we touch the foundations of why we are here on this planet. Each of us gains some new insight or information into the life we are currently leading. This information can come through anything - our family, friends, a situation at work, or a bolt of lightning straight from the heavens into our consciousness. When it's an eclipse, I always pay close attention to what happens that day, because there will be something synchronistic about it.

SOLSTICE INVOCATION FOR TRICKSTER ALLIES

This is the midnight hour of the year, and of 8,000 years of Empire in which humans ceded authority (Saturn) to socio-pathic dingbats. Until now!

This Solstice poses the question: "What must we die to, within and without, lest we die from."

The I Ching chimes in: 24. The Turning Point -- Winter Solstice

"After a time of decay comes the turning point. The powerful light that has been banished returns. There is movement but it is not brought about by force. Societies of people with a unifying vision are formed. But since these groups come together in full public knowledge and are in harmony with the time, all selfish tendencies are excluded, and no mistake is made. Everything comes of itself at the appointed time."

"From deep stillness comes replenishment and the gathering of strategy and wits. Not striving, but calm and merriment.

"The Winter Solstice has always been celebrated as the resting time of the year. In winter the life energy is still underground. Movement is just at its beginning; therefore it must be strengthened by rest, so that it will not be dissipated by being used prematurely.

"The return of health after illness, the return of understanding after an estrangement; everything must be treated tenderly and with care at the beginning, so that the return may lead to flowering."

Now more than ever.

So let's toss all that is neither beautiful nor useful into the roiling cauldron of re-birth, that Time is so kindly providing us. Let's compost all past- patterns of self-sabotage, personal and collective, for starters.

And let's bow at the threshold of this New Year, to release and redeem all that we do not wish to take with us through the door. Remorse is said to be the highest of the negative states, the closest to clarity --because we see and feel all those times when we didn't respond to life's "woof woof wanna play?!" When we fell for the compelling illusion of separateness, and forgot that we are all in one large, pulsing, shape-shifting-according-to-collaborative-intent dream.

The Sufi, and we with her, gently pats her heart and whispers "estafirahlah" "forgiveness of self and others." And may "forgive" mean "to give energy for change."

The protoplasm of reality is particularly susceptible to imprint now, by the power of word, language, story and metaphor. Allowing ourselves one true hyperbole: Never before has the power of human story-telling been so essential in determining what dies and what lives.

Let us dedicate ourselves to animating the desirable story. (To do otherwise would be complicitous with the evolutionary dead-end of empire.) We suck the chi of our complicity from that which is dying, and exhale into the blooming of dynamic collaborative kinship. We are here to re-dedicate ourselves to the responsibility of dreaming the desirable world into being.

Saturnalia: Deeper Dedication is the anti-dote to fear, as feeling useful is the anti-dote to depression. There -- that's handled.

So, let's visualize and dedicate, wherever we are around the Solstice time, and journeying on into this powerful Winter, that we are offering our unique and necessary Medicine, into the collective cauldron brew, and ladling ourselves a cup of All-Heal.

Trickster Medicine is really the sine qua non that brings all the other medicines into bubbling accord to produce the elixir of Dynamic Reverent Ingenuity.
