April Rewinds: Astro Report

17796141_10212292149602620_268123216521657910_n

Lots of retrogrades (and introspection) affecting us this month, giving us the chance to review our growth since the start of the year. We are slowing down, making sure we have solid foundations.

April 5th at 10:06pm (pacific): Saturn Retrograde in Sagittarius.
April 9th at 4:14pm: Mercury Retrograde at 4° Taurus.
April 10th at 11:08pm: Full Moon at 21° Libra.
April 15th at 3:18am: Venus (currently R) goes Direct in Pisces – exalted!
…and Jupiter Retrograde in Libra until June 8th!

And TODAY, Sunday, retrograde Venus in Pisces is squaring retrograde Saturn in Sag at exactly 27°.

Partnerships are being seriously reevaluated this week. Relationships regarding love and business are tested to see if they can withstand the pressures of long term commitment. Saturn doesn’t fool around. Are you willing to do the hard work necessary to keep your pledge to another person? If yes, the relationship has a strong center and will probably be a lasting one. But if they are castles built of sand, they will diminish.

This is an important time to take inventory of what’s working and what’s not working, and to gauge the commitment level of each person. This tension will be accented by the Full Moon in Libra tomorrow, and Venus’s’ stationing at the end of the week.
There are four planets retrograding together this week. That’s pretty amazing! I can’t remember the last time this happened. In general, all of us need to:
  1. Re-evaluate things you’re committed to.
  2. Re-examine your VALUES and adjust if necessary. What’s most important?
  3. Start with getting grounded; take each day as it comes.
  4. Don’t expand into future worries – but deal with what’s in front of you right now.
  5. Be in the present.
The great RE-VALUE is here.

Full Moon In Aries

luisbello2

Full Moon in Aries at 9:23pm Pacific, Saturday, October 15th.
The Full Moon was exact last night, but we are experiencing the effect today, Monday and Tuesday. It’s a VERY powerful Full Moon because it’s in a conjunction with Uranus (revolution, truth, rebellion and “shaking things up”).
This will be a dramatic week. The Full Moon will set off more disruptions and drama on the world stage. The last debate takes place this Wednesday – the same day as a conjunction (combining) between Mars (energy, war, men) and Pluto (toxic purification). Should be interesting! Mars and Pluto both rule Scorpio which is Clinton’s sign, so she should be able to ride the wave. Trump will have women coming out of the woodwork to challenge him, and his supporters will stay resolute.
This is a good week to take things a step at a time and be cautious in social interactions. Creativity is highly enhanced, especially if it goes outside of social norms. This is a week for the revolutionary, unconventional, rebellious genius to fully express herself or himself. Expect revelations regarding your life and personal belief systems. Do something physical; push yourself at the gym or exercise in nature. If you have some great truth to impart to someone, I would wait until next week.
The rest of October is about radical transformation, on a personal and social level.

Saturn into Sagittarius

The Path, by Reginald W. Machell
“The Path” by Reginald W. Machell
Full Moon in Sagittarius occurred at 4:02am Pacific today, and we all got a glimpse (or a big jolt) about our future path. The ruler of Sagittarius is the huge planet Jupiter – ruler of optimism, expansion, joviality, luck and money. This week it’s conjunct the North Node of the Moon which symbolizes The Future. Whenever the North Node is involved, our destiny appears. What insights did you receive today? What showed up in your life? This is your personal message about your path.
This Full Moon is intensified by Saturn in Sagittarius square to Neptune in Pisces. It was exact three days ago and impacts the energy of this moon. This is our dream meeting practical reality – and it can be painful. Saturn comes along, rips off our rose colored glasses and tests us on our personal beliefs. Saturn in Sagittarius is our truth and belief appearing as a wake up call. Neptune in Pisces gives us a vision of our lives that we never imagined before. We are each starting a new phase in our lives.
From Mystic Medusa:
"Sagittarius is the Archer, the Centaur, the court jester who tells the truth, the wanderer and the party come to life. All that.
And where you have Sagittarius in your chart is where you want to be absolutely free.
Yes, other houses in the chart lend themselves to rebellion and do-thy-own thing as well but your Saggo area is where you’ll take off out the back door when nobody is looking.  It’s where any obligation or expectation feels like blinkers, a bit and a bridle on wild-horse you and it doesn’t matter WHO  t.f you offend:  You are outta there.
Your Saggo area is where you don’t even have to think about or try to arrange being free –  you just ARE free there. If not? It’s terribly bad for you.
The house with Sagittarius on the cusp is where you kind of have hippy values and heaven help the poor sod who attempts to impose another paradigm onto your easy-come-easy-go-just-loving-the-sun-on-my-skin-breeze-in-my-hair-living-the-now policy."
Sagittarius is the truth that we find after our underworld journey in Scorpio.
Once we eliminate what had been holding us back (Scorpio), we can begin to expand our horizons (Sagittarius).  If Scorpio is the journey within, Sagittarius is the journey to far off and exotic lands.

BUT Saturn has also a mysterious dimension and we see it at times like now - between now and Xmas Eve, Saturn traverses the very end of Scorpio and it's like a little time warp. Ready or not, people and information will flow into your life that will prompt the most intense recollection of times gone by - yes, even if you Do live resolutely in the Now and for good reasons.

But the poignant echoes and feeling almost forced to reflect on cycles in your life is a part of this time so you do it with (i think) a lofty and inquiring attitude - okay, what DID you glean from that morsel of info or sudden memory flash?  This is Saturn at the end of Scorpio - there will be a most pertinent insight to be gathered from even the most random past montage or reanimation - you just have to get to it.

September 18 2015 – December 2017
It will be like a revelation, a coming out into the light, the focus of this week and this yuletide time of 2014, is Saturn moving into Sagittarius, 4:33pm 23rd December 2014 UT. After all this time Saturn in Scorpio finally moves off into Sagittarius for 6 months. “Trumpets sound and angels sing” seems very appropriate and worth a bit of a celebration, for the heaviness of Saturn  in Scorpio has been a trial of emotional upheaval, trust, money wars, control and power issues that have reared there unavoidable ugly heads, but have made us into who we are today, stronger, braver, and ready to take the next steps.
Watch for he shift, as Xmas conversations around family diners, lunches, BBQ’s  get more heated. Instead of holding in, or holding back for the sake of peace, or mum, or husband, or friend and like true Sagittarius, we let it rip, the spanner of truth gets set off into the works. We take control of situations not through emotional blackmail, but by letting it out, saying what we mean, meaning what we say, no matter what the consequences, it has to be done. After the deeper inner world experience of Scorpio, in Sagittarius all becomes wilder, freer and clearer, for that is the purpose. Yet remember as the Sagittarian will gets stronger, it does so for everybody. The dogma, the right way, this is the only way to see things, can be expressed in so many ways. Not all of which shall be so inspiring.
We are talking about Saturn here, the planet with the heaviest of archetypal meanings, structure, control, autonomy, authority, bounds and boundaries, work, commitment, responsibility,  put that with the openness of Sagittarius, the universal,  experience seeking, future oriented, high minded traveller and adventurer!
What type of images are formed? Her is an idea!
Saturn   – Sagittarius
Control –  Freedom
Closed – Open
Structure – The reason?
Autonomy – Sag love that!
Authority – Well I am the authority
Do it right – Don’t I always
Bounds – Yeah I’m into it, will it hurt?
Boundaries – Never
Rules – What for?
Commitment – Committed
Responsibility – Sorry I have to go, got other things to do
Lessons – but I know it all don’t I?
Get the idea? Saturn needs to loosen up and Sagittarius needs to gets serious. Will it ever happen? That is the exact tests of this time approaching. Lessons in Sagittarius! Can Saturn ever loosen up, well one thing really important to know here is that Saturn, the planet a gas giant, has a physical mass that could float on water, physically it is not a lead weight that the astrology of the past 1000’s of years has attributed to it. And think  about it heavy objects can fly, just look at a Jumbo Jet, defying gravity and taking off. It’s the ties that bind,  the heaviness we bring on ourselves, what we thing can’t be achieved or isn’t possible that we need to consider here with Saturn in Sagittarius.  Saturn is about control, who controls your life? Our beliefs will now take a firm hold of Saturn and the importance of living our own truth becomes ever so important. With Jupiter in Leo till mid next year also tests of faith come around in many ways.
For anyone with Sagittarius planets,  or angles, Saturn will now begin a firming, consolidating test to your faith, your faith in life and what you can make of it. How committed you are in living it, doing it, being it! For others with mutable angles and planets, Virgo, Pisces and Gemini, the tests may not be as harsh or trying, yet the signature is to stabilise with Saturn, stabilise what we mean, what we know, what we do, how we do it. Great time to finish and consolidate studies and something we really believe in. It’s not a time for giving in or giving up, but seeing things through, if they are true and if they are not, well you already know. If we don’t  believe in it , ask yourself what are you doing it for. Sagittarius seeks “meaningful”!
Saturn is a great teacher in all aspects of life, after the lessons learnt in Scorpio,we move off to Sagittarius, a great teacher too, yet in the higher meaning of life. Saturn’s tests are all about needing to master the next steps in time. Together during this transit we put together mastering  all we know, consolidating the truth by which we live,  believing and having faith in what we are building, doing, seeking, and doing it all as right, according to us!
As you are doing it so will others be, so be prepared for some dogmatic, law affirming restrictions being imposed around us, especially through governments and authorities, travel restrictions and the like. Although we will be aiming to stand by our worldly freedom rights, continue to fight for what is right in this world, the law may have other ideas and the struggle will be to fight to remain freer than ever for the heaviness will be more apparent.

Good luck with it all, it won’t be easy, but it will be worth it!

Full Moon in Sagittarius

13230166_1010901425656232_2142376884725078105_n
Full Moon in Sagittarius, May 21st, 2016, 2:14pm Pacific.
This Full Moon is conjunct Mars Retrograde in Sagittarius. Ordinarily this brings impatience and temper tantrums, but Sag’s ruler Jupiter is currently in Virgo – giving us some restraint, maturity and focus on self care.
Sagittarius is the sign of the Centaur, Archer, Wild Horse and Wounded Healer. What are you aiming at? This full moon is about reviewing the goals you set for yourself at the Spring Equinox, March 21st. Or write some goals down on paper. It’s good to maintain focus with all the wild energy flying around this year. I bet the Preakness will be an exciting race on Saturday! Horse energy rules.
The Sun entered Gemini today at 7:36am Pacific. Gemini is ruled by the planet Mercury, which is currently motionless in the skies above us; preparing to turn Direct on Sunday the 22nd at 6:20am. Stay away from making big commitments or purchases – wait for next week when Mercury is moving forward again. The month of May has been slow moving with Mercury and Mars retrograding together. We’ve had to retrace our steps to be certain our dreams have a solid foundation. This will start turning around now!
May 20th Sun enters Gemini
May 21st Full Moon 1 Sagittarius
May 22nd Mercury Direct at 14 Taurus, Sun conjunct Mars
May 24th Venus enters Gemini
May 26th Jupiter square Saturn
May 27th Retro Mars enters Scorpio

Full Moon in Aries

The Full Moon in Aries, and the fiery red eclipse, occurred last night after 7:00pm Pacific. It’s still happening though! An eclipse of this magnitude takes three months to roll out into our lives, AND the Moon is still in Aries today. The Full Moon is still in effect, and Aries is the most spontaneous sign of all – it leaps forward without thinking of the big picture.

The message? Don’t do anything impulsive today! Or this week! Give things some time to mature before taking action – preferably after October 10, 2015 when the Mercury Retrograde is over.

This is a potent unfolding of energy – inspiring us to find a new direction. If something doesn’t feel authentic then we will release it in the next few months. It’s time to finally let go of whatever is holding you back – whether it’s a thought, relationship or situation. Be bold and courageous and follow your heart!

Here's some great horoscopes by Ed Tamplin:

Aries or Aries Rising: The emotional focus of the Lunar Eclipse is strongly affecting those born early in Aries, meaning the March born. This can play out in a shifting focus on relationships. It enables you to see the big picture on something, providing greater exposure as well as perspective. It also helps in bringing something to fruition in the areas of home and family change. The Moon’s accommodating aspect to pleasure planet Venus should also benefit birthdays around mid April early this week.

Taurus or Taurus Rising: The late September Lunar Eclipse suits taking a welcome and rejuvenating break from regular activities. If you’ve been burning the candle at both ends then you’ll certainly be noticing the after effects. This eclipsing energy also suits bringing a matter to a constructive conclusion and helping you finalize the overhanging details of an ongoing arrangement. The April and also early May born Taureans should feel the eventual benefits of this by midweek.

Gemini or Gemini Rising: ‘I would rather walk with a friend in the dark than alone in the light.’ They are the words of Helen Keller, the first deaf/blind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree. But it was her enduring friendship with inspirational teacher Anne Sullivan that totally transformed Helen’s once limited world. This week’s lunar eclipse casts light on your house of friends, bringing associates and associations increasingly into the picture. Something is putting you on a ‘universal wavelength’ of connections with a greater purpose.

Cancer or Cancer Rising: When your ruler the moon gets totally eclipsed Cancer – you feel it emotionally. Okay squeeze the stress ball - you have the right to get crabby. Leading into this current lunar blackout, may not have been the easiest of times. Moreso if you are June born. Situations that cannot be avoided are forcing you into taking more decisive action. The corker? Sometimes you have to take a step backward in order to build greater impetus for your actual advance.

Leo or Leo Rising: When you’re driving, it pays to look at the car in front. But only looking at the car in front means you would soon lose your way. This eclipse is about reorientation. Have immediate events, or someone else’s priorities distracted you from your purpose? Have you lost sight of the big picture and ended up lost in the back roads. By Wednesday the Moon will favorably angle to Venus in Leo. It’s putting you back on track – allowing you to refocus on the important directions that will take you places. It’s even good for real travel too.

Virgo or Virgo Rising: Remember this. You don’t have to give it out. You have a claim to ownership and a right to privacy. This lunar eclipse affects what you’re willing to share. That’s why being more attentive to financial partnerships, loans and investments, dual occupancies, is a smart thing. Wherever the actions of others have an effect on your security or future resources is about as important as it gets. If it isn’t for mutual gain – then someone is getting deuced.

Libra or Libra Rising: This week’s illuminating lunar eclipse, is casting a new light upon an important alliance. Take note, especially if your birthday falls late September. The days ahead will provide valuable insights into someone close or offer new answers to old questions. Beginning October, the Libran Sun is hooking in with cerebral Mercury, meaning communication and negotiations are all the more significant. Deals or appointments made this week may have important developments three weeks from now.

Scorpio or Scorpio Rising: The Lunar Eclipse is spotlighting your house of habit, health and well-being. As with all eclipses when one light goes out, another one switches on. Old habits die hard but this is the week to begin that process. Take it one step at a time. The way you are doing something (and this is probably job-related) is now due for an urgent overhaul. You’re not meant to be a slave to the wheel – there are easier ways

Sagittarius or Sagittarius Rising: When the lunar eclipse shines a light into your house of leisure and pleasure, it’s time to live it up. It pays to get the essential chores out of the way giving you time to party in style. This eclipse also impacts positively on your romantic life and helps provide creative insights toward your natural gifts. It’s a signal to play to your undoubted strengths and develop your talents. It’s never too late to follow your bliss.

Capricorn or Capricorn Rising: The end of the month is the time for juggling those important career decisions, and can put you in high achievement mode. The accompanying lunar eclipse is also asking whether you're in the right place or receiving sufficient emotional support. It can bring family, or a maternal influence, into the picture. In areas of relationship, this involves building stronger bonds, and is productive for working partnerships and those with a greater objective purpose.

Aquarius or Aquarius Rising: The Lunar Eclipse is acting like a reboot button affecting your communications and thinking. It may bring new information to the table that changes the equation. Situations can also be changing in the lives of siblings or within your immediate neighborhood. The overall effect may hold benefits for you, and the last week is a positive period for renegotiating something that didn't work out first time around.

Pisces or Pisces Rising: The current lunar eclipse appears in your house of assets, earning capacity and financial futures. Full Moon eclipses are always an eye opener. This one concerns self-worth. Are you getting your just rewards, or do you feel that you’re selling yourself short on something. The only person that can fix that is you. It’s time to begin changing some values, re-arranging fiscal plans and this period can even be shedding some light on fresh income streams.

Full Moon in Aquarius

Today is a Full Moon in Aquarius, occurring at 3:43am Pacific. It's a Blue Moon (the second full moon in a month), and the brightest full moon of the year. It brings illumination and insight, so be present with your thoughts and the events that occur today, because a Truth will be unveiled.

If you are an astrology ninja, this Full Moon is occurring at 7 degrees Aquarius and Leo, so check out those points on your chart. Whatever was happening in your life on January 20th (the Aquarius New Moon) is about to come to fruition this weekend.

Aquarius is ruled by Uranus. This planet brings electricity, scientific thought, and glimpses of the future. It clears out stagnant energy. Uranus is non-conformist and embraces eccentrics, rebels and geniuses. It brings sudden events and flashes of insight, and can be a turning point for the year. Follow your own path no matter how crazy it looks to others. Uranus is currently retrograde in Aries and sending sparks to Venus retrograding into Leo today. We are looking at our karma and patterns around relationships, so look for breakthroughs of negative patterns. This full moon also brings clarity on where we belong. Who's our people? Our tribe?

If you want to know how this effects your chart, send me an email for an astrology reading!

Happy Weekend!

Today's Full Moon has the themes of Communication and Freedom Drive woven into it (see astro map below). The planets Mercury and Mars are flanking the Sun in Gemini as it opposes the Moon in Sagittarius (and Saturn nearby at 0 degrees). This brings the feeling of wanting independence and freedom but needing to face the realities behind our desires. The three planets in Gemini are also trining the North Node in Libra, giving us a glimpse into the future.

Best advice: Don't rock the boat today and don't call anyone from the past. Focus on the future and avoid social complications this week, especially today! Don't confront authority figures today either. Drive the speed limit, get home safely and spend the evening planning your dreams and goals.

Mercury is Retrograde until June 11th, so now is the time to move slowly, reassess your life and make a solid, accessible plan you can achieve. Forget spontaneity, there's no rush right now, even though Mars is telling you otherwise. With Mercury and Saturn retrograde, there are loose ends to tie up before moving forward.

Full Moon in Scorpio

copyright: Noam Kahalany

Full Moon in Scorpio tonight at 8:42pm Pacific. Keep an eye on the eastern sky and you'll see it rise! Mercury is in tight opposition to Saturn today, asking us to be serious and responsible in our decisions and communications.

The Full Moon tonight is the exclamation point on this lovely Beltane weekend. This ancient Celtic festival celebrates the height of Spring and the Sun in Taurus. We honor the blooming Earth and the promise of an abundant Summer.

Astrologically, we have Mercury cavorting around in it's home sign of Gemini for the next several weeks. There is a Mercury Retrograde from May 18th to June 11th, so try to make major decisions and purchases before then.

Venus, the planet of love and beauty, will be in Cancer in a couple of weeks. The focus turns to nurturing ourselves, our relationships and connecting with our families. It's a great time to make home improvements, but be careful about overeating. The New Moon in Taurus on May 18th will be influenced by Venus in opposition with Pluto - the catalyst for evolution and catharsis. It's a great time to reflect on what your needs are and if they are getting met by your lifestyle and relationships. Mercury Retrograde can clear the air between people, so speak your truth.

Full Moon Eclipse in Libra

It's going to be a wild weekend with Saturday's Full Moon eclipse in Libra (relationships). Avoid social complications! But if truth serum is needed in a relationship, it might erupt in the next few days. This Moon encourages new growth, attitudes and life. Holding on to old patterns and relationships will get more and more challenging as the month progresses. It's time to let go and embrace the Truth.

If there's a corner of your life that's become stagnant but you're not ready to let go, at least try to be in the truth about it and create a plan. You might feel stuck right now, but creating a plan - and sticking to it - works wonders. The Full Moon in Libra will be opposed by Uranus (revolution), which in turn will be trined by Jupiter (expansion) - setting the stage for a real shake up.

Full Moon Eclipse at 14 degrees Libra: Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 5:06am Pacific time.

The Moon goes void-of-course immediately afterwards at 8:59am and stays "wild" until entering Scorpio on Sunday 12:04pm. Moon in Scorpio on Easter? THAT is the biggest recipe for resurrection in recent memory. Scorpio is the sign of resurrection and rebirth, and fully supports your release from a tired situation.

Horoscopes coming soon!

Full Moon in Aries

Full Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse Extraordinariousness is happening in four hours here on the West Coast.

This Full Moon is in Aries (headstrong impulsive Me Me Me energy) very close to Uranus (shocking, sudden change or insight) and the South Node of the Moon (the Past haunting us).

If there is any sort of upheaval or sudden shifts in relationships going on this week, try to wait until next week or preferably November to take any real action. I MEAN it. Aries has to do with being a maverick and going your own way, but the current emphasis is on Working With Others. Try to be conciliatory and diplomatic with any tiffs that arise.

The ruler of Aries is Mars, currently trining Uranus and stirring up anger and impulsive action - it's a volatile mix. Plus the Sun in Libra squaring Pluto in Capricorn can cause issues with authority.
